Need to raffle a home in California to avoid foreclosure or even a short sale offered by the bank.

I am considering a short sale on my home in order to avoid foreclosure, but before I proceed, I would like to know how it will affect my credit. Will it be as bad as a foreclosure? How long will it be before a bank will consider loaning me the money to buy another home?

I’ve heard rhode island is pretty quick. we cant afford o pay and the mortgage company refuses to pay. How long do we have before we have to be out of the house?

I think I will be going into foreclosure here in a few weeks, but I know that in about about a month I will have enough to “catch up” with my payments. If I “catch up”, does it still keep heading to foreclosure?

Only if there is some profit in doing so to them. Unfortunately, most are a scam. They will get an upfront out of pocket fee from you & then you will find yourself in no better a position than you were before you paid them their scam fee. (How they make money & stay in business)
You might be better off to call your lender and ask for a loan modification. If you don’t qualify for one now, ask what it will take to qualify for one.

Is it true that by filing a chapter 13 bankruptcy the process of a foreclosure will be stopped

My boyfriend’s house is currently in foreclosure. He is six months behind on payments. The sale date is two months away. If he can come up with the past due amount and pay it to the lender, will the foreclosure go away?

I was forced to work part-time because of a tick bite and I was striken with Lyme dieaease. I didn’t think a small insect could do some much harm. Any way, my husband works 24/7, but that is not enough and now we might loose our home. We tried to talk with our mortage co., and we even tried for a hardship loan which was suggested by our own company. They told us NOT to pay our payments for a couple of months and that way it would look even better for the hard ship loan. Then they turned us down and now we are 4 months behind. Little did we know that, I guess some mortage co. will do that so you get behind and loose your house to them. That’s awful!! Anyway, if any one knows of someone that could help either stop the foreclosure (with no money down) or of another way to save our home I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
