I am trying to avoid foreclosure and can file my taxes electronically all I need is a federal tax id for the company Teletech Holdings Inc. Any help?

I have bad credit with a foreclosure and bankruptcy. In the past my husband and I paid a company almost $1,500 to help us avoid foreclosure but they never accomplished anything. I would like to get some guidance on the best way to improve our credit.

Only if there is some profit in doing so to them. Unfortunately, most are a scam. They will get an upfront out of pocket fee from you & then you will find yourself in no better a position than you were before you paid them their scam fee. (How they make money & stay in business)
You might be better off to call your lender and ask for a loan modification. If you don’t qualify for one now, ask what it will take to qualify for one.

I have seen many ads on the web stating that they can help with foreclosures. I have a friend facing foreclosure – and may soon be myself if things don’t pick up – and she is considering replying to one of these ads

We are in foreclosure and filed bankruptcy. In the past few days we have gotten letters stating that they can help stop foreclosure by working toward buying our home. Is this a big scam? What is really upsetting on the envelopes they mention in bold letters things about stopping foreclosure.
