Foreclosure Listings?

It seems these days, there are hundreds of websites listing potential foreclosure properties. It all seems they all want money for the listings.
Is there one single website that is a great go-to site that doesn’t charge for foreclosure listings?

    1. There is no one website that will have all foreclosures. Many websites will have data that is 1-2 weeks old. Good enough for some but too stale for others.
    2. Foreclosures are local as is property. The ‘listings’ will show up locally. If an agent has a listing then expect it will be on the MLS. If FSBO then the owner will run their own ads.
    3. All Notices Of Default or pending legal action will be filed with the court house. Some locations require the information to be published. Other locations do not. Check the courthouse records daily if you want to see a new notice (pending foreclosure) as soon as the process is legally started.

Go to the county sheriffs website in the county you want to find a foreclosure. They will have a free list of property sales and foreclosure listings. If its not on their website, call them.

check your local paper. by law, lenders have to list foreclosures in the paper for 3 weeks before they foreclose on property. remember, a good deal is hard to find, so research the properties carefully.

http://www.publicnoticeads.com is a 100% free site put together by the Newspaper Association of America. It lists all foreclosure sales that have been listed in the newspaper. You can also check out http://www.hud.gov since most foreclosures end up in the hands of the US Government. There are links on there for HUD properties as well as those of other government agencies.
